Intermediate Pointe

(ages 15 & up) Requirements: At least 5 years ballet technique remaining including 1 year en pointe. Every ballet dancer wishes for the days of dancing en pointe, off the barre, making steps from technique, and learning choreography from steps. This class begins with strength building and technique focused barre. Once off the barre we we build on the basics, introducing artistry, exploring tempo variations, and learning more complex steps. Technique class prior to pointe class is mandatory. Recommended donation: $15. This operation is purely donation based. Pay what you want when you want. Learning the subtleties of the art of ballet and learning to hear music through movement are priceless, and yet shouldn't be cost prohibitive. Studio rules: 1. No competition (with yourself or others. Nobody is better or worse, we are all just here to learn ballet) 2. No judgment (of yourself or others. This is the body you woke up in today. Nothing is good or bad; we are merely working toward progression) 3. No limitations (on yourself or others.
