Summer Strength & Stretch

(ages 15 & up) This class is for all fitness levels and is not exclusive to dancers. We focus on strengthening large muscle groups, small muscle groups, and yes, there is a lot of core work. And then we stretch. The goal is to create a strong, flexible, supple body through simple exercises you can repeat at home. Remember: simple is not easy. What to wear: There is no need for a leotard or tights; yoga-ish athleisure is perfect. Be comfortable. You will want to be able to move freely without getting caught up. Socks are perfect footwear. What to bring: a yoga mat (I have a few extra), water, a spirit free of judgment. Max 6 students Recommended donation: $20. This operation is purely donation based. Pay what you want when you want. Learning the subtleties of the art of ballet and learning to hear music through movement are priceless, and yet shouldn't be cost prohibitive.
